I was lead animator/ vfx person on this fun Sainsbury's x Lego cards social campaign for Gravity Road. The task was to come up with a technique that would allow us to lip sync the characters, while looking realistic in a real life environment. We used cards that had a black, glossy finish and tracker markers on sticks to have them move around. In post we tracked the cards, removed the sticks and markers and harnessed the reflections so the flat pre-animated designs looked more real when pinned to the black cards.
